New Local 798 Website

Welcome to the new Local 798 website. We hope it is easier to use and contains more content to keep you informed about your Local. The biggest change is that you do not need a username or password to access any of the information on the site. If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to call the Hall office or you can goto the Contact Local 798 page and let us know there.

Shipping Charges on Merchandise orders

Starting June 1, 2009 there will be a $7 Shipping & Handling charge automatically added to all Merchandise orders.

Employee Free Choice Act

Local 798 supports The Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) (H.R. 1409, S. 560) and we encourage all of our members to contact your representatives in the House and Senate immediately and let them know you support this effort. You can contact your representatives by either email or letter.

 September Membership Meeting

The next Regular Membership Meeting will be held September 11, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Local 798 Union Hall, at 4823 S. 83rd E. Ave, Tulsa, OK 74145.

The Tulsa Renaissance Hotel has rooms available at a rate of $90.00. Please call 918-307-2600 to make your reservation, and advise them you are with Pipeliners Local Union 798.

 Local 798 Ladies' Hospitality

The Local 798 Ladies' Hospitality will be held beginning at 6:00 p.m. on September 11, 2009 at the Tulsa Renaissance Hotel. They have provided a room rate of $90.00 for this meeting. Please call 918307-2600 to make your reservation, and advise them you are with Pipeliners Local Union 798.

Initiation Fee & Classification Change Fee Policies

Effective January 1, 2009, the Initiation Fee Policies will change. At that time, Helper Applicants will be required to pay the $1200.00 Initiation Fee in full to gain membership. Welder applicants will be required to pay $1200.00 at the time of their initiation. The remaining $800.00 will be paid in 5 equal monthly installments. Members changing their classification will be required to pay the difference between their Helper initiation fee and the Journeyman initiation fee in full at the time of the classification change.
